We are excited to announce a new feature that will help you manage your loan payments more easily and conveniently. You can now opt-in to receive text messages from Cobalt Credit Union that will remind you of your upcoming loan payment due dates.
How does it work?
If you have a loan account with us, you will be sent an opt-in message from us asking if you would like to receive text reminders for your loan payments.
- To opt in, simply reply YES to the message. You can opt-out at any time by replying STOP.
- Once you opt in, you will receive a text message 10 days before your payment due date, and another one 3 days before your payment due date. These messages will include the amount and date of your payment and a link to our digital banking portal where you can make the payment.
- You can also check your loan balance, view your payment history, and update your contact information anytime through digital banking.

If you missed our first message allowing you to opt into text reminders, you will receive a second opt-in text message on the next payment due date, after which your phone number will be placed in the opt-out mode if no response is provided.
