
Dr. Julia Cronin-Gilmore
Chair of the Board
Director, Doctorate of Business Administration program at Bellevue University where she has earned the rank of full Professor. Her professional experience and research publications and presentations span a wide variety of subjects, such as leadership, board of directors, systems thinking, business strategy, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and others. Dr. Cronin-Gilmore has earned numerous awards for her contributions to the credit union movement including the Distinguished Director Award from CUES in 2024. She has earned several certifications including Supervisory Committee Certification, Bank Secrecy Act Certification and Financial Literacy Certification plus Certificates from the Volunteer Leadership Institute and Board of Directors. Dr. Cronin-Gilmore serves on several boards including the Harvard Business Review Advisory Board and is a speaker at Credit Union Conferences and International and National Business Conferences. Education includes a Ph.D. in Business Administration, M.A. in Management, and a B.S. in Business, Marketing. Dr. Cronin-Gilmore has been a Cobalt Credit Union volunteer since 2009. She served as Board Treasurer from 2012 to 2018, 2nd Vice Chairman in 2018, 1st Vice Chairman in July 2019 and Chair as of January 2020. She currently serves on the CEO Compensation and Volunteer Governance Committees. She was re-elected in November, 2022 for a three-year term on the Cobalt Credit Union Board of Directors.

Beth Thomas
Director
Beth has more than 20 years of experience in human resources management and executive leadership. She has served as the Vice President of People and Culture at Triage, a large healthcare staffing company. She led the HR department at Creighton University in the role of Interim Associate Vice President for Human Resources. She was the HR Director for the Specialty Insurance Division of Markel, a publicly-traded, global insurance company. She graduated from Doane University with a Master of Business Administration degree and from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management, a Senior Professional for Human Resources with the HR Certification Institute, and a certified executive coach. She became a Cobalt Credit Union volunteer in March, 2022 as an Associate Director. She currently serves on the CEO Compensation Committee, and as Chair of the CEO Succession Planning Committee. She was selected in November, 2023 to serve on the Cobalt Credit Union Board of Directors until 2025.
